SAs/ Architects at AWS, I know it's the pandemic and there might not have been much travel over the past 2 years. But pre pandemic/ now that the business travel seems to be returning, do you guys have to travel to customer locations? If yes, what is the travel % that you were doing prior to pandemic/ once business travel becomes more normal again? #aws #solutionarchitect #awssolutionsarchitect TC:155k
Yep I was doing 25 to 30% every month (in Canada, everything is far away)
Oh so how does that work? Were you traveling every week? Or every other week on average?
Each role is unique and it's worth discussing with the hiring manager. But typically, it's 25-35% every month
How those travels work? Are those to see customer's datacenters or what's that for?
They'll likely either be to meet with customers or internal aws meetings. You won't be touring a datacenter
