Java code did not follow the java standard. That sounds pretty bad whatever that means...
That could mean everything was written using reflection API.
A few years ago, I got pinged by an Accenture recruiter that they work on their own project etc instead of being a staffing agency. I was very skeptical and felt pitiful for whoever was depending on this company delivering a quality product. Now it looks like one of such poor customer was Hertz. They should have known this better. No sane people will depend on these vender companies to deliver any big project. Hertz probably didn’t even consult with any experienced engineers to find out whether they can be trusted. Huge loss. Even more loss as they will lose out customers to competitors.
