I am planning to quit my current work. I mostly worked on designing and stabilizing core software for the financial services sector, especially the consumer loan management system. I have five solid years of experience in programming at an enterprise level. However, I do not have a CS degree. I completed my MBA with an emphasis in Computer Information System and self-learned programming. I currently have a consultant developer offer from Capital One $120K base plus about $10K bonus. This is about a 50% bump from my current TC I am debating if I should accept this offer or practice LC questions for better opportunities, possibly FANG? What does the blind community suggest? I am open to suggestions. Thank you.
Why not do both?
Take the offer and then practice LC if you still want to do FAANG later imo. 50% boost in TC is going to make a big difference
I think by the time you've properly prepared for FAANG interviews, your offer would expire. Take the offer, but keep LC'ing.
Take the offer but keep working on LC after hours. As this is not a final choice but a Journey. 50% today, maybe 100% in a year and so on.
Do both. 50% is a big boost
Congrats on the 50% boost... TAKE IT. LC'ing never stops, does it?
Do both join and LC for 50% then get a new job within 6 months - year 100% boost. Ez
Thanks. I think I was just overthinking and trying to select between options when I could leap the benefits of both.
Take the offer and keep Leetcoding
