Had an on-site last week. I felt it went decent, not the best, but not bad at all, I gave it a good go. Emailed the recruiter last night to “just follow up”. They asked me if I’m available for a 30 min call to talk about it. Honestly idk for “sure” that it’s gonna be rejection, but I feel like you just kinda know these things right? (In my experience, recruiters call you ad-hoc with good news, and drag their feet with bad news). Should I just ask her to email me whatever she wants to say? I’d love to have some feedback, but I really don’t wanna sit on the phone for 30 mins with a bunch of “uh huh”, “totally understandable” if it’s not going my way Thanks
Yeah they aren’t allowed to give you feedback, generally, so either they always block out 30 minutes or they want to move to next steps.
Yeah, don’t ever assume - for various reasons job application status is just something not done in writing over email ... plus the call will almost certainly not take 30 minutes.
Sounds like they might want to discuss another role within the organization.
Let us know how it goes
I'm on the same boat as you. However my recruiter has scheduled a 1 hour call.

Avoid teams with only Chinese or Indians especially with a Chinese/Indian manager
30 mins is a lot more time than any recruiter wants to spend on the phone just to give bad news. Sounds positive to me honestly
