How does Adobe ESPP work? Say I joined in Jan 1, 2017. Does the two year look back begin on Jan 1, 2017 and moving forward only? Or am I able to purchase stock on my first day (Jan 1, 2017) at the lowest point between 2015-2017?
Your 2 years starts from Jan 2017. In 2019, your locking price will get updated.
If you started Jan 1 you would get locked in July 1 at %15 below market price on July 1 (might be closing price on June 30) and you would get to purchase at that price for 2 years.
Any opinions on culture and career progression?
The company makes a point of our WLB. Which is good in Lehi. I don't know about the Bay area or Seattle but I think it's similar. I asked my boss a few months ago what it would take to get promoted and he's working with me so I can get the opportunities I need to justify a promotion. My last boss was great when I told him I wanted to try something different. So from my anecdotal evidence WLB is great and career progression is great.
Great WLB. No career progression.

So Adobe has 2 year too? I thought only my company was doing a 2 year window. Back when I was at a different company we got 6 months looks and it worked better. Does Adobe offer concurrent offerings during the 2 year window?
Given the above fact pattern, how does your company handle the window? Is it going forward from the date you start, or are you grandfathered into the past?
You have to wait for a window to open - every 3 or 4 months they have an offering at which point you have a choice of how much to contribute up to a cap determined by % of your salary. You could go 25% of the max each period which will be in a sense 6 months windows since every quarter you would have a purchase...
