Adobe is making me wait for an offer since last 3 weeks, they called me right after the interview to discuss expectations/numbers and feedback was excellent. This last Tuesday, they given me exact offer numbers as well after 3 weeks, which I verbally accepted and told me it would take around 48 hrs to generate an offer. Now all of a sudden they told me yesterday that company is going on 2 weeks financial shutdown until July 15th, then they will restart all the activities, Is this correct @adobe folks regarding shutdown? Does an offer takes this much time to come along? TC will be 240k in Austin,
Do Adobe take this much time overall for putting an offer across ?
What's the rush? You already know the numbers and have the verbal offer. You will get it for sure. Enjoy till then!
Not on rush, I told them I am fine, but I haven't seen this much time for job offer to come before in my career. Naturally until you have nothing on-hand, you are still doubtful π since everything is verbal till now
Don't worry. Adobe is a great place to work and full of ethical people. You will get your offer. Just enjoy and do things that you want to do before switching your job
Kind of sounds like someone might be on vacation the week after shutdown.
Yoe and position? That's a great offer
14 yoe, senior architect
Nice, seems like a solid offer. Equivalent of around $400k in San Francisco, adjusting for CoL. Good luck with the position!
I got hired under very similar circumstances. It was hard to be patient, but it's a good idea to be.
Got the offer yesterday π
Congratulations and welcome aboard! I hope you choose us :) Let me know what your starting date is. Would love to grab lunch and show you around.
Thank you very much, it's so kind of you
Yes, the shutdown is true - although most people are back July 8th, so not sure why they'd need another week on top of that.
Is there some quarterly planning goes on during June July ?
Adobe's financial quarters don't align with the yearly calendar, so we're actually part of the way into Q3 already. Quarterly planning does happen, yes, but the shutdown is just an employee perk that happens for 1 week over the July 4th holiday and again at Christmas.
