Updated Looking to get an idea of the base salary for a PM straight out of b-school at Adobe. Specifically, is 130K (base only) reasonable assuming the rest of comp is good? Or is that lowballing? Curious to know what the upper limit would be? Happy with variable comp and stock. Just need help evaluating base It’s for SF/ Bay area . Not familiar with job level. Title is just “Product Manager” Work Experience: 5 years in engineering (not comp sci)
Based on what I hear that's about right. Bonus is not bad, but Adobe TC is not top end
Its in the mid-high end of the lower 1/3rd band for the position. I've always been told that you want to get a promotion before you are in the top 1/3rd as then you have little headroom for larger raises and eventually look like you don't have potential.
Seems low compared to FANG comp, but seems like a decent stepping stone to get the PM title and then transition somewhere else
170k base senior PM here, sounds at least good compared to myself.
PM base pay range is ~120-160k with a 15% bonus. If you are from an M7 school with no PM experience, $130k is a decent base pay. I think that is the standard offer. Try to push for bigger sign on, stock awards and vesting schedule (3 yrs vs 4 yrs) if you haven’t. Your hiring manager will have more flexibility on those than the base pay.
Wow dang, I've had 10 years experience as a QE developer and I'm making almost $140k in Seattle.
Is this base only? SF Bay area? What level? At first impression, it seems low but hard to say without the additional context
