Graduated in 2020 and did a long internship and have now been working full time for just under a year. I’m currently at a pretty decent startup but it’s not well known or trendy.
I want to break into higher tier tech, and I feel like my leetcode is there but It’s hard for me to get interviews and want to ask for any suggestions.
By higher tier I don’t just mean FAANG, would be interested in anywhere like DoorDash, Lyft, Uber etc and also interested in more ‘legit’ startups like AirTable. I haven’t been able to even get a response from any of these companies… not exactly sure where to go from here.
Any tips?

I was just like you with ~1 YOE and did 400+ LC and only got an interview from Amazon and Cloudflare
I was super reluctant about joining Amazon, but now I’m getting interviews at all of the places you mentioned 🤷♂️
So yeah you either need to switch to a FAANG company then bounce, or wait until you’re SDE2 level and then try and get interviews
1) LC helped to get a job at a well known company
2) Once you accrue some experience in one of these companies, the gates are open for better opportunities.
2. Blind referrals
