I'm working as DS II at a telecom company, but I think Zillow or Redfin would be ideal for me. I have only been in data science for about a year, I moved into it from financial analyst roles(4 YOE as financial analyst). I also have a real estate license and have closed a few deals on the side, as well as run a meetup .com group for real estate investors in my area. I primarily use Python and SQL, but mostly through a SQL server and less using cloud tools like Hive or Presto. From the job description it seems like those are the primary technologies I should study, as well as sharpen up Tableau skills. Any other advice? What should I expect to get tested on in technical interviews? I really think this is the right move for me. TC: $93k Blind won't tag Redfin in the company section?? #datascience #redfin
Apply to Open Door too
They're on a hiring spree right now. Definitely go apply to OpenDoor
You should apply. It sounds like you have the right experience. The real estate part is certainly not required but will help you stand out. Good luck!
What's the name of your real estate meetup?
