For starting out, look at Dave Ramsey's baby steps. But ignore all his investing advice. Instead do a 3 fund portfolio. I'd recommend hanging out on Bogleheads forum and Wiki as well to learn about indexing.
Accumulate 4months expenses for an emergency in a bank account and sock the rest in Berkshire shares. The shares should give you a steady 10-15% per year and because its undervalued, even if the market falls, Warren buffet holds a ton of the value in hard cash and he should be able to buy you assets at an even more attractive price and profit from the crash. Other than that I would recommend Microsoft and Costco as reasonably recession and disruption proof companies to invest in

Acorns, m1 or a robot adviser irmf youre lazy. Target fund in ur 401k. Max out 401k. Max any elligible ira or do a backdoor. Stick to broad index ETF until youre comfortable reading stock data and terms. Learn expense ratios comissions dividends and returns. Use your tax advantage accounts until you have overflow. Dont believe people who say they KNOW a stock is going to rise. Go watch a warren buffet interview
