After how long of working at Square as a SWE can you switch teams?
Have no intention of switching at the earliest opportunity but i think i was told at one point you have to wait 9 months and just wanted to confirm that. TC: 0/unemployed

I've definitely seen it happen faster than that. But probably requires some string pulling

There are always exceptions to the rule. If your current manager and the new manager agrees to the transfer, you can transfer early. But if you are in good standing and you have completed 9 months, your current manager cannot stop you from transferring.
