We're going through a big expansion and have been hiring a lot more at Sidebench. Having met with so many candidates in the last month, I really started to realize some of the bigger differences between the focus and skillset of a PM with agency experience and those PMs that have worked at single product companies. Of course the basics like requirements gathering, documenting issues, managing sprints working with designers and developers are very similar, but things like experience juggling multiple product backlogs at the same time and dealing with external (client) stakeholders sometimes set the Agency PM apart. What you guys think, have you worked in both environments and experienced these differences?

Agency PMs seem to be less strategic and not as focused on product continuity
