I’m a Delta Platinum elite, got mvp gold 75k via status match. I booked 3 trips with my gf, thought we’d both get on the upgrade list since companion upgrades are a benefit of 75k gold. Instead their system splits our reservations and doesn’t upgrade her. One instance our flight got cancelled and they rebooked us on separate flights. Wrote in to customer care 2 weeks ago and not even an apology. Alaska pls fix your glitchy system.
Similar experience for me but when i talk to customer care they usually give me like a $25 voucher for the inconvenience. I had 2 trips recently where my companion was not on the upgrade list and our reservations were split instead of upgrading her too I’d rather be promised less and get less lol. I’m going back to AA next year (can’t believe i’m saying this lol but being EXP or Plat with aa > 75k at alaska)
But the wait at their terminals is muuuuch better and at least they had ear plugs when a baby was crying and went around giving them out unlike United where the engines are in the dangerous 90-95+ Db range and they don’t even have earplugs. Yes, I measured. But, yah when I fly Alasakan, I feel like I’m back in the 90’s.

Phone for reservations, email customer care and hear back 2-3 days later usually. If you call in, the person on the phone has 0 power and just writes up your issue and sends to customer care. That’s how things were for AA and Delta too.
With reservations yes. But if you want to complain/ask for a voucher or miles reservations can’t comp you. Customer care usually does that.
