has anyone interviewed with Alexa AI or Amazon Prime Air? Have an onsite shortly and would love to hear your experience
Do you have a PhD in ML or AI? How does applied scientist work? Are they engineers or research scientists?
Posting on behalf of my wife. She has a PhD in related fields to ML-AI
Simple coding questions Leadership principles Presentation if it is applied scientist
Alexa AI is definitely not worth it. Shitty tech, shitty infra, full of clueless empire building managers. Many talented people have already left. Prime Air might be more interesting.
Can you elaborate what you do not like in Alexa AI? And why? I agree with you, I just like to know an outsider thoughts
Strongly disagree. I see very minimal scientist attrition in Alexa AI. The platform team has major issues (much discussed on Blind), sure, but the science and many of the engineering teams are strong. Most of the managers are actually good (see the exception about the platform team above which historically had bad managers but may be somewhat improving now). There are charter conflict issues and bad relations between VP level orgs across Alexa though, which have been widely discussed here on Blind. But the actual work being done by scientists in Alexa AI is very solid and the people are too.
