This is my first performance/compensation review with a full year of experience. It is also my first job and I have about 1.5 years total experience. I was hired as a FE engineer but have learned a lot and am now doing full stack. I feel like I have doubled my value/skills and know the team I work on has high RoI. Am I being too greedy if I would like a 30% pay increase? Should I ask for even more and let them negotiate down or be honest about a number I would be happy with? Edit: Thanks all for comments. Will start leetcoding and be happy with whatever raise I get.
Switching will get you paid.
You're crazy if you think you will get a 30% pay bump without promotion... Even with that might be a stretch
Yes you’re being unreasonable. If you doubled your value proof it by getting a double offer..otherwise shut up
Maybe if you threaten to leave
Bag strategy, engenders bad feelings and mistrust
Yes
You're not getting that without going to a new company.
Only if you are underpaid
Your value in the market is a function of the highest offer you can get. If your highest offer is your current job, then you are being paid fairly.
30% pay bump is not going to happen for you at this same company. That type of increase will only come from switching companies.
Gonna need to job hop. Get used to doing it now
