Failed intern and full time onsites. I feel like such shit after seeing everyone pass HC except me. Can I still become successful? all of the successful people i read about were successful from an early age. Im 23 and havent accomplished anything.
No, you’ll never become successful. Quit tech now.
You are on the edge of being mentally defective for asking this question... chillax, interviews need a lot of luck, it may not be entirely ur fault
I’ve done and failed too many of them to not be my fault anymore.
Mentally defective is a bit much. By that definition 99.9%+ of the Earth's population is defective.
Your people probably think so? I don’t want to be like the dregs of society.
Loser
Are you the guy that was lamenting over not getting a 100k signing bonus for being a returning intern at fb?
I can’t get into FB so no
I failed all interviews for almost 2years ..before I cleared FB. Don't lose hope. Be strong.
"if you judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree it will live it's whole life thinking it is stupid". People have different strengths and weaknesses. Maybe algorithms and data structures are not you're forte or you can't sell yourself in an interview. That doesn't mean that you don't have other strengths that make you valuable. Also these are skills that can be improved but it takes time and effort to do so.
I don’t think I have any strengths or accomplishments though.:.
The quote was from Albert Einstein. Although he is revered as one of the smartest people ever, he showed almost no potential in his younger years. He did not excel at all in school and some of his teachers questioned if he was retarted in his younger years.. this is a very common trend with successful people. Some of the world's most successful people showed no real promise until their 30-40s. 23 is still very young and it's time where you're just trying to figure out life and who you want to be. Software cultural can be frustrating when you see people with 5+ Fang offers but those really are the outliers. You should look up "mindset the new psychology of success". Honestly just rip a copy off the internet and read the first chapter. I think it can help you a lot. It kind of just reiterates the same point a lot but that point is you should not equate your value to how you perform on things like interviews. Your potential for success is how much you can grow from your failures and understand that failing is the only way to learn and improve. You should see this an opportunity to better and not an indicator of your future potential.
🙄
Just keep trying. Learn to accept failures and comeback more 💪. Don't give up just keep trying.
Mentally defective
I failed Microsoft DevDiv too
