I have solved 104 LC easy, 90 LC Medium, 7 LC Hard and most of the problems on CTCI (cracking the coding interview). Failed onsites 1.2 years ago (first onsite ever at any company): feedback was ok... Now I feel on fire when I code in front of a board. My onsites are a month from now.
First time? You'll never be ready. Just do it ā And don't take it too hard on yourself if you don't get through
How mat phone screens did you had to clear ?!
If you genuinely worked through CTCI and 200 LCs, then you're already way ahead of half of the other candidates. If you feel on fire in front of a whiteboard and don't lose your cool then you're ahead of the other half, too. Good luckš
Google gives an offer to less than 1% of applicants every year. Being better than half of all applicants might seem reassuring, but it actually doesn't mean much.
I wonder what percentage of onsites get offer
I will say just give it, google rarely asks stuff straight from lc
What about system design? Did you prep for that?
You're close, do like another 100 LC while you are waiting. I passed with a little over 300 done.
Try to do 150 medium and 50 hard.
50 hard sounds like a lot of time ... Not sure if I have it. I did get one hard when I went to onsites tho
Just see and understand solutions, maybe not 50 then 30-40
I random 10 questions from the pool. If I struggle to explain optimal or almost optimal solution in first 10 min then I note down level and type of question. This way I identify my weakness on DP so I practice more. Try this method out!
double it and let's see
What is ctci ?
