Amazon - Stock growth..Sucks big.
Is Amazon done growing? Not as company but stock price? Just tired of looking at stock for the past year. Lowest performing among FANG. Great revenues and growth but cloud is sikkping away. I envy Apple and Google stock holders.. If Amazon gives low guidance this quarter what would be the impact on stock..? Is it going to be under downward death spiral? TC $280k

A big part of Amazon is online retail. Since most of the stuff is from China, a trade war and coronavirus can affect their sales. People are understandably less than fully optimistic about Amazon today. Google in its core is an ad company. As long as the overall economy is still doing fine, sellers would still pay for ads. China doesnât directly affect Google. Microsoft is a software company. As long as people still buy PCs and businesses still use Office, theyâre fine.
Why is it underperforming, thought company is firing on all cylinders.. My bad on not picking at right time.
Amazon stock is known for flying under the radar and then hitting huge numbers. We will just have to wait and see if it works or not.
Amazon had lot of hopes from India market. India is a big market outside of USA. India Govt is investigating Amazon's deep discount practices. Finance minister openly criticized Bezo, even PM didn't meet Bezo in spite of big announcements by Bezo. Ruling party is against Amazon in general. Also, Mukesh Ambani is entering ecommerce market. I think that will be a problem for Amazon retail growth.
Buy Apple and Google then.
