What’s the going salary for Sr. Programmer employed via Amazon, in the Seattle location with 15 yrs of exp.?
That’s good to know... so a recruiter that is trying to persuade to consider a position in the Seattle location for Sr. Programmer is saying that 300k is extreme-what are your initial thoughts when you hear that?
Granted, the stock has been doing well the last few years, so maybe it won't be as strong for new hires.
Good insight. I would need to relocate a family of 5 from Illinois. Do you have insight on others who have relocated? Housing seems expensive via internet research.
Housing is expensive here, there's no way around it. Around $1M for something decent and family sized and not too far. Some people commute from like maple valley, Lynnwood etc, but I wouldn't particularly recommend it.
so, in your opinion, how much income (between 2 people) would be ideal to live comfortably to live in Seattle? Is this location family friendly?
400-500K is comfortable. But many people do fine on 200K. Maybe I'm out of touch.
