Amazon 6 months ban before next attempt

I was an SDE at Amazon and currently work at MSFT. I tried to interview for SDE 3 role at Amazon, but even for an ex employee they wanted all the procedures to be followed ;), so was not able to skip any initial screen. I gave a phone screen followed by an online test for an SDE 3 role 3 months ago. I did not clear the test. I keep getting a ton of calls everyday from Amazon recruiters. Some of them say that I need to wait 6 months before next attempt, but some of them say that there are other teams that might not consider such rules and ask me to try that. Are there really such teams? or is the HR just giving me BS? Anyone has any insight? appreciate any info! Thanks!!

Why go back to amazon, isn't msft better?

My team and management, both are hopeless!!!!!!! Internal switch does not offer any growth and you need to wait for 6 months to a year!!

Last year two recruiters from amazon contacted me around the same time. I took the the test from recruiter1, after which I responded to recruiter2 saying “I’m already in touch with recruiter1 but since you presented an opportunity at a different team, can I interview for both in common?”. I was told by recruiter2 that I can’t do this since I failed the test, and can probably get back to her in six months. But viola - recruiter1 contacted me back again bout next steps. So I think the expectations vary probably?

What's your level?

It truly does depend on the team but most teams follow the cool down period.
