Hello, i have a AWS interview lined up in 3 weeks . i wanted to ask the community to check if my preparation for this from the below resources are good enough and if I am missing something. currently my study plan includes the below: 1. Revising Leetcode Amazon Tagged questions (top 50). i have already done 180 Lc from FB and Amazon tagged list . 2. Preparing LPs from Dan Croitor Youtube , blogposts. Come up with 2 stories for each LP, write down on paper and memorize it. 3. Covering System design from Gaurav Sens youtube system design playlist and 15 questions from grokking the system design on educative. i prefer learning by watching videos, so i will youtube those 15 questions and learn from it. i was asked a DP question in phone interview, so does that mean onsites are gonna be more tougher/difficult ? i heard AWS is tougher than Retail. Am I missing anything ? Any other things to keep in mind for a successful interview ? TC :140k 5yoe
I followed the same procedure, did gaurav sen's videos, grokking object oriented design, 200 top questions of Amazon but I did not clear AWS SDE 1 last week. I knew all my answers , even LP went well but I was nervous and there were bugs in my code . So important lesson learnt was do mocks, practise , be confident and pray you get good interviewers
Oh man. Sorry to hear that. Luck plays a big factor.
I would suggest to do mocks, practise with your friends and be confident because amazon technical questions are not that hard but they want flawless answers. I had 5 rounds and was asked HashMap, LinkedList and OOD questions . 2 questions were directly from leetcode.
So my rounds involved binary tree, binary search tree and prefix tree. Take from that what you will, but I will say know your tree traversals. I was supposed to have a system design round, but I think they cut that after I mentioned I have no scalability experience. They also rejected me on the basis of having no relevant experience, so I advise not doing that. This was for Sde 2 as well.
Thanks .
Amazon is easy peasy
Sorry. How you are preparing for system design ? Did you apply again ?
The funny thing was that the 2nd problem on my OA was definitely not eazy problem, but onsite I didnt get anything of that level..
I dont know man . My frienda are telling me “chill bro its amazon”. But i want to put my best. This maybe my only exit out of my company
Definitely practice but that's pretty much it, rest is just making sure you feel good the day of and a bit of luck with right communication and stuff
