Amazon Applied Scientist / Apple Data Scientist / Apple MLE?
What are the differences? Amazon's AS career track seems quite well defined. But it's hard to understand Apples data scientist career route? I am looking for an applied ML role.
Apple seems to lump all data scientists (BI, experimental, ML) into "data scientist" role. Seems like Apple's product DS (from what I understand is applied ML) is also different from FB's product DS (which is more focused on experimentation, A/B testing and causal inference?)
Also, I kinda gathered that Apple's ML engineering role is more hardcore engineering on internal tooling and platform, rather than applied ML?
Thanks in advance! Sorry can't share current TC/yoe for now, as I work in a small company (hard to keep anonymity) and I'm actively negotiating an offer...
