My recruiter told me I need to prepare a presentation on my research for the team. It's been a while since I published something and when I did that was Electrical Engineering so I doubt it's that relevant for the team. If I go for a practical project I cannot reveal much since that's confident. Did anyone need to present their research for AS interview?
I did. My last published work was from 6 years ago but that did just fine. I basically presented a brief of everything I worked in the 6 years since I graduated with my MS and they dove deep into a few topics. My advice to you: always have an excess of topics to talk about, that ways you can always cut it short if you have to. Pro tip: if you know a particular topic will instigate questions from the audience but also you didn’t want to put slides with those details since it would be too deep and would disturb the flow of your slide deck: add an appendix set of slides at the very end. There’s nothing like having a person ask you a very specific question and you having just the right slide to explain it that you can pull up in a few seconds from your deck. I’ve used this strategy successfully many times and did it in my amazon APSCI interview too.
