I took the assessment last week and I was able to answer both questions with couple of test case failures (Both Problems). But, I tried to solve it in the most efficient way. I also added the time complexities as well in the next questionnaire. I think I performed fairly well. What is the expectation from the Alexa teams?
Don't be surprised if you get a reject. They don't give feedback so it's hard to tell what they want. But if you were able to give best solution with good code in a fast way then you will move onto next round. I am mostly guessing that you will move on. Good luck
Having test case failure, especially for both problems, is not good. Wouldn't be surprised if you get rejected.
I mean additional test cases. The base test cases succeeded though.
It depends on how the rest of the folks did.
Update: Results are out. I will be interviewing onsite soon.
Complemented my assessment today. Did you have to give a phone screen or was called to onsite directly?
No phone screen. Onsite. My friend’s had a different experience.
Seattle?
Yes. Seattle.
