Does anyone have any insight on Principal Engineering roles for Amazon and what salary ranges that includes? A friend is going onsite and is considering relocating there. This is for Project Kuiper. Thanks in advance.

It is extremely unlikely your friend will be offered a principal role as an external hire. Probably come in as a Senior.

+1 on above. Itâs is very common at Amazon to interview at Lx and be offered Lx - 1. Esp at principle level. Almost unheard of

I've seen a handful of people externally hired as PE in the team I've worked on in the past. Especially secret projects teams. Expect TC from 450K to 600K

Yearly Total Comp then, Base + bonus + RSU. What's so funny about that?
