It seems Amazon is hiring too much. What is the reason for that? Is it an expanding bubble which will burst soon (during recession)? Will it lead to high lay offs as well in future? Just curious!
Perhaps. Most indeedidly, perhaps...
They are hiring a lot because they are reinvesting their profits into r&d and expansion. Microsoft on the other hand has 2% dividends and just announced a $40bn share buyback because they dont know what to do with the money.
I heard amazon has very high attrition rate
Revolving door and lowered hiring bar
Amazon relies on a pipeline of fresh meat to replace the burnouts, low performers, or “got a better paying offer from FNG”. They too will become a part of the cycle
Bulk PIPing
PIPing? #newToBlind
Either package for installing python or performance improvement plan. It’s Amazon, so it could be both. I feel like everyone there is required to code. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
