This is a BIE Level 6 role, a Lead/Managing role. what kind of compensation can I expect especially at Seattle area. I am looking for TC 260-280K. is this reallistic? Can anyone give me the break down of TC Amazon offer for Level6? Thanks All
No idea if it’s helps. But I’m on the tech side although not a developer (they make a nice chunk more as I understand it ). And not in Seattle I’m remote. My TC as an L6 is about 220k.
What is your base? I read couple of posts that says Amazon base won't exceed $160k? Is this true? How about joining bonus? Is the compensation neg?
Yea that’s true from what I’ve heard as well. But I’ve heard edge cases of more no idea how true it is. I’ve been here less than 6 months. My base is 155k. My sign on bonus was 100k. But that’s split over two years to make up for the fact your equity vesting is heavily weighted in years 3 and 4. Year 1 - 5% vest. Year 2 - 15% vest. After that it’s 20% every six months. As far as negotiations go I hear base is tough to haggle on but sign on and equity is easier. Personally I blew it and didn’t negotiate. I was making 115k in my last role so when they through out about 220k and I didn’t have to move and could stay in my super low cost of living area I was stolked.
Not sure abt BIE but my L6 PM offer was $295k
I need to become a PM

Doubt you'll get that high. That's DS manager territory. L6 BIE will probably go to ~200k TC.
