Could you please let me know what kind of questions are expected the telephonic screen for data engineer position at amazon.

@CGYI74 i heard that the interview is relatively easier for data engineer position. What is the percentage of coding and design rounds. Also, please clarify if reference has any advantage.

Yes interviews are relatively easy (sql, etl design, overall experience) but I think preparing in advance for the leadership principles based questions will be useful.
1. Write SQL to solve a real world problem 2. BI concepts like dimension modeling, star schema, OLTP VS OLAP... 3. DB performance tuning 4. Data pipeline design 5. Metric and visualization solution design for a business case 6. Statistic and modeling 7. Previous project experience 8. Leadership principle 9. Big data solutions like Spark, EMR 10. Reporting tools capability like Tableau/excel
DEs no longer do reporting and arent expected to know Tableau or Excel. However they should know how to write ETL script in Python
What kind of ETL design questions? Can you please elaborate? Thanks
