Amazon H1 transfer RFE - Fragomen
My H1 transfer with Amazon has gone into RFE. Fragomen is still to receive RFE details but I would like to know how much time do they usually take to respond to RFE? My joining date has already pushed two times due to delay in filing and I am afraid that I may lose the opportunity 😔 . Is Amazon flexible in these kinds of situations?
Very flexible
Deadline for my RFE was Oct 6, Fragomen sent the docs with overnight shipping on Oct 5. Now imagine if that package got misplaced. Fortunately, it was approved. Can’t say about Amazon but Fragomen is definitely slower than snail.

This was my experience with Fragomen when they got my RFE for H-1B (not transfer). They overnight shipped a week before the deadline when they had 2-3 months of lead time. In the meantime, they refused to give me any clear answers on what they were doing. Terrible company in my experience.
Stay on top of Fragomen, keep following in regular intervals. Provide details to Fragomen and manager as and when asked. It will take at least a month for Fragomen to gather all documents and letters before they reply to RFE. Be patience, it will get approved.

Specialized knowledge proof. Fragomen shared RFE details very late though USCIS issued it long back
I pushed my joining date for almost 7 months.. so you should be ok
Think of the worst cast scenario as far as your offer goes - the position is filled and every other position in the team is also filled. There's still thousands of openings in the company as a whole, and at worst you'll be directed to another team (most likely in the same organization as well). You'll be fine.

Like others mentioned the hiring team and management should be very flexible with the joining date but I’d like to you to be more cautious and pro active with Fragomen as they are THE slowest of all immigration attorneys I have worked with in my 10 year H1 journey.
Is it in premium processing? Ask your HM to file it in premium you should be good to go in 2 weeks
Yes it's premium but I'm concerned about the time Fragomen may take to prepare the RFE response.
Since you mentioned the rfe is about specialized occupation, they will send you a doc which is like in a tabular format and you have to fill all the details. Just keep in touch with them on a regular basis. I had to go through 2 h1 rfes for 2 different roles and dealing with fragomen is painful. But you should be good. All the best :)
Yes they are , just talk to your hiring manager. I negotiated my start date contingent on H1 approval +2 weeks notice period at my current company Don’t worry , they have already invested in you by applying H1 , they won’t let it go Just be proactive about communicating the delay with hiring manager and recruiter
