Howdy folks, I have an upcoming onsite interview at AWS for an L5 position (AWS infrastructre team). Can anyone give me pointers on what to expect? Will it comprise of the standard data structures and design problems? I heard from some friends that they have a heavy focus on leadership principles. I am currently in Azure at level 61 with a TC of 140k will appreciate inputs from someone who recently made a move over to AWS from Azure. #microsoft #amazon
Expected 60-65% questions on LP. Bar raiser will have a full round in LP. You will hear tons of “tell me about a time.....”
FWIW when I had my on-site there wasn’t a single full round of LP. Everything was the same mix of LP and one of whiteboarding/coding/object oriented design and coding/systems design. I still don’t know who my BR was but in the end it didn’t matter because I still got an offer.
@cisco: were you spontaneous with the leadership principles or did you sort of prepare them before hand?
