I am in the final round of interviews at Amazon Nashville for L6 Program Manager role. I wanted to know what the average pay for the job category is? My focus is on supply chain and customer projects. I have 4 YOE ——Update—— TC is approx 168k (don’t have the break out). Waiting to hear more. TIA. #amazon #programmanager #l6 #nashville #seattle #supplychain
Do you have a master's degree? If none, Prolly around 110K base, $65K stocks, $40K signing bonus 20-25 percent higher if you have a master's degree. Edit lowered a bit since this is not Seattle location
What exactly does a Amazon Program Manager do? What skill sets do you need?
Ability to schedule meeting and send status update emails
it goes a bit deeper than admin and status tasks. You have to document and mitigate low level risks, escalate complex risks to leadership, maintain an accurate gantt of your project, lead change control, probably maintain a communication plan, manage cross functional teams who usually only view projects as their individual deliverables so it’s your responsibility to weave everyone into the larger picture
They mostly just ask "is there an update on this, let me know what I can do to help. Thanks!!"
Do TPM and PM share similar TC?
TPMs typically make more $$$ due to having a tech background and a more applied skill set
I received the salary estimate. TC is approx 168k (don’t have the break out). Not sure how much a TPM L6 makes
More serious tone, they're more or less responsible for ensuring a product or program is meeting their customers needs and wants. This can involve gathering business requirements. Syncing with various tech teams to understand options and timelines available for a 'deliverable'. Or even performing high level research on the areas that could impact the product/program success (having some grasp of SQL and stat will take one far). Overall, they're the middle person and the representative for a program/product
How much is expected total comp for PM-T in Amazon Seattle? Does anyone know? I am currently in interview process for the role
I received the salary estimate for PM role. TC is approx 168k (don’t have the break out)
Pmt, L6 starts at 200k tc and goes up from there
4 years of experience and L6 ?? Is it possible
L6 program manager is possible. Not swe
My current title is VP at the bank. It’s equivalent to L6 in tech.
How does one know the level of the role he/she is interviewing for ? Any drill ?
Depends on yoe
4 YOE. Thanks!
