I am a L5a Uber engineer with 10yoe.
Making around 1.1cr with base 62.
I have two offers one is from Amazon L6 1.7+cr and Google L6 1.6cr
I am not chasing TC rather I want to learn leadership. What I have seen Amazon L6 can give me more exposure of ownership and can make me a better leader for future.
Reaching out to fellow industry mates for help.
#Amazon #sde3 #staff #Google #leadership.

I have yoe little over 9 years and have made enough for now. Only thing I want to do for my future is to invest my time and energy is leaning those skills.
That is good for me. Thanks for your troll inputs.
This is not OP bt I can assure you these are TC.
TC- Total comp that an individual can potentially make in an year.
CTC- Cost to company ( Don't know)
Just check what kind of structure your team has and how senior you would be.
Now I’ve heard from friends that L5 is a terminal level for a lot of folks at Google and promotion to L6 is a big deal. Also Google L6 roughly maps to an Amazon L7.
So personally, I would chose google L6. The delta of 10 lakhs won’t be significant.
At Amazon, I do see L6 SDEs pushing code.
At google, I am not sure about it. But I’m pretty sure that Google L6 is tougher to crack than Amazon L6.
Can anyone from google confirm or deny this ?
