TC: $450k USD ($185k base, $123k variable, $150k RSU)
Role: Sales (IC)
YoE: 15
Time at Amazon: 10 years
TT YoY (2020 and 2021)
Location: San Francisco, CA

Received a "exceeds high bar" and "role model" for LPs on 2022 forte review. Have yet to see a PCS to correlate this to a bump increase for 2022.

What type of bump can I expect ? Where am I relative to the TC band for L7?

Maybe, maybe not. We have a huge problem with income inequality, and so the median wage in the US is $34k/yr. Even within tech, you’ll see massive differences between big tech firms and the wages at your average company. It’s possible that, if you were born here, you would have been caught into that cycle as well.

The problem with blind is that everyone compares themselves with what they read here, and that often just leaves them feeling worse. But it’s important to know that what you see on blind is not the universal truth. You’re reading the stories of the top 1% or 0.1% that have been incredibly lucky.

Variable pay is a percentage of your base salary paid out quarterly based on the sales metrics you are evaluated against.

The OP above has a 67% split. Meaning that if each quarter they met their objectives, they will receive 67% of 1/4 of their base that quarter.
