Amazon NASCO

Can anyone please shed some light on Amazon NASCO org , IOT team specifically. I have an interview with them for a L5 role (PM) , curious to know if it is a high visible team , WLB. Any feedback/help is appreciated.

WLB is super good. Highly visible or not, I’m not really sure on that part!

Never heard of them, so I'd question the high visibility.

Ditto - what do they do?

I believe they are considered ‘First Mile’

What the hell is first mile? Like manufacturer to FC? What does that have to do with iot?

I can tell you that iot team itself is a mess. The VP is an ass. Blames PM's for everything. I know many PM's, almost all, left or were leaving as of last month

True, almost all PMs left for re:invent last month. They all returned as far as I can tell ;-)

Lol. I wish.

IMO L5 for PM is very junior

I left that team last year. WLB is good. Deliverables are low impact though they 'advertise' success well. Team is political but you'll get on well if you work well with certain L7s and directors. Finally, most PM roles there are not true product roles. The choice is yours.

Thanks for the feedback everyone ! I was meaning Program Manager and not product manager. Inbound Operations Technology (IOT). I am currently working for a big logistics firm , looking to move to Amazon because of the experience I ll gain on supply chain, have been trying for over 2 years now !
