Hey everyone! I just got an offer from Amazon (!), and I'm sure you get this question a lot: "Is this a good offer?" On the table: 108k Salary 70k RSU, 4 year schedule (5, 15, 40, 40) 34k + 24k signing, first and second year respectively The position is for Seattle, SDE1 I think this offer is pretty standard, is that correct? Has anyone negotiated higher than that? Thanks! :)
What’s the position ?
SDE1, at Seattle
Pretty good for new grad L4. Going to be hard to negotiate any higher unless you have competing offers.
Thanks!
You and your bragging. It's time to stop.
Oops, I didn't mean to make it sound that way :x
OOC what kinda of tests did you take and how well did you do?
Online assessment, which then turned into a blitz in-person, I think I did okay, though I fumbled some of the medium questions, but I explained my process throughly before time was up!
It is a great offer for new grad considering u r just doing 2 OAs
Same offer as returning interns, I got eveything else the same but 24k signing and 10k relocation
I’ve heard the 34k signing is the returning intern package
When do they pay you the signing + relocating?
This is wrong. I joined as new grad in January, got promoted Q4 and was given a few stock grants for my second year as salary bump wasn’t enough to get me into the target comp range
Depends on how much stock goes up, stock was only up 30 percent or so since I joined if it was in 2000s I’d be outta luck.
OP's offer is the standard new grad package, it is also non-negotiable.
I think it's a pretty standard offer from Amazon. Other big companies (f,g,m) can do better if you arent set on Amazon.
How do I get an interview with MS? I gave them my resume at a career fair, applied in September, and got a referral over a month ago and they're ghosting me. I know they interviewed one person from my school who had a much worse resume than me but maybe he had a referral earlier than I did.
Depends on location and job duties
Seattle, and SDE1
It’s a decent offer for Seattle
