Blinders what do you think of the situation? Received an amazon offer for a Program Manager role (non- tech) in Amzn global logistics. Interviewed for L5 but they downleveled to L4 and offered a diff role than what I actually interviewed for under a diff manager. Followed up with recruiter for 2 weeks and finally got him on phone. Asked to schedule a call between new manager and I. Also mentioned that I would like to go over the Salary. Next day I get this response “I am unable to increase the offer. Would you prefer to that we decline the offer and look to interview again in 6-12 months” The recruiter has been unprofessional and rude since the start. Is recruiter’s behaviour reflection of the team and culture? Did Hring Manager keep me as a low priority, and thats why the recruiter’s behaviour? I need H1B sponsorship, but recruiter doesnt respond to emails and doesnt get on the call either. Frustrated with recruiters behaviour. I want them to expedite the process but he is unresponsive. What are my options? How do I get in touch with new HM?

Recruiter behavior is not related to the team. They are just communicating HM decision. HM doesn’t think based on interview feedback that you are L5. Respond appropriately.

Your friend should not give you HM’s email. That’s a policy violation. If you use the email, be assured you and your friend are in trouble. You are not leveled as 5. Period. Neither recruiter nor HM can influence leveling.
Sounds like your recruiter tried to find out whether you are willing to walk away from negotiation.
Yes, Ask recruiter to arrange a call with HM. It’s totally acceptable and I have talked with candidates multiple times before they join. Everyone knows how hard to get the right candidates - especially who cleared the interview

I think they have given you take it or leave it offer and you are insisting to negotiate. Please don’t waste their time and blame the recruiter for your unwillingness to listen
That is definitely not the case. I slightly mentioned to the recruiter that I was hoping if you could walk me through the offer details and salary. And the next thing he says ‘no scope for negotiation.’
Usually people asking to walk through the offer details are looking to negotiate. If you like the TC then write an email that you are willing to accept the offer as given and want to discuss your specific questions
