Got an AWS recently offer: 150k Base 176k RSU for 4 years 110K Bonus TAM Role Is this offer lowballing? Debating on requesting more but not sure if Amazon is known for negotiations....
Are you sure. Rsu vest every month?.their vest schedule is 5,15 for 1st and 2nd year. Then 20% for each 6 month. For first row years they have cash bonus paid monthly.
Always negotiate on the offer. When they gave you that offer they already factored for negotiation. If you don’t negotiate you will loose it!
Christ they pay TAMs that much?
Not your typical type of TAM role at AWS.
Can you elaborate? Im really curious At MS, TAMs by and large don't know anything about what we sell to customers. They're a concierge who copy/pastes customer asks and sends it to others to figure it out
Hello, this sounds like an L6 role; so I will break this out for you: 150k base - you are close to the top-end, they really liked you on your interview. You can try to negotiate this but nothing will happen. It looks like you are breaking out to around 220k total compensation? 176k RSU - Break it down into stocks for clarity as the price is rapidly fluctuating. I assume you got 90-100 RSU in the offer. This is actually not a bad offer on the RSU. You can definitely wiggle this around if you try, I wouldn't expect more than 10-15 extra RSU unless you bring a different offer. TL;DR - Yes you can negotiate, no you were not low-balled. If you have a competing offer, push hard. If you don't then push but decide whether this makes you happy. 110k Bonus
All offers are negotiable
