Amazon Offer
Amazon recruiter sent an offer and mentioned the offer will expire this Friday. When I asked for extension she mentioned she can't extend as the system won't allow her. I'm waiting to hear back from Apple on site interview. Is there anything I can do to push Amazon recruiter. TC:240k
My understanding is that Usually they cant extend bexuase they have to reach out to back up candidates who are waiting. Why dont you ask for apple for faster decision time that you are otherwise going to accept Amazon offer

Received a call that none of the teams who interviewed me are able to extend an offer currently. I'm stunned coz all 5 rounds went great and every interviewer was happy with the approach I had for asked problems. I've never been this clueless ever before. Interview was for L4 level. I have asked my recruiter to cross check the result. Is there anything I should do? TKS.
Unfortunately you didn't pass your loop. I cant help with that. Interviewing anywhere has a certain amount of randomness. Try again in 6 months and make sure you interview with at least 4-5 companies.
It is stupid to let go a candidate who is already selected and instead do everything again to hire another one or select second choice. Recruiters do this so you stop looking for another job and join ASAP.
Sometimes first and second choice are really not far apart and they dont want to lose the second one if the first one take a long time and end up not taking the offer
There is no guarantee that second candidate will not join immediately. Usually it is hiring manager who decides if he can wait or no. For H1b hiring all companies wait for 4 weeks minimum. Companies also take lot of time before deciding but they hurry once offer is made

Is the offer for SDE 1, 2 or 3. I was an SDE 3 earning 225k there almost 8 years ago. So 240k sounds low ...

@Data (C2FO) I am also expecting an L5 offer from Amazon. 240k for L5 is a great number. Is this for Seattle or Bay Area? And are these initial numbers by Amazon or after negotiation?
Take it, delay start date , apple comes thru, then decide . Stop being so loyal to these companies .
She is most probably just bluffing. Tell her you need a week at least to decide on it. I am pretty sure they wouldn’t say no to you when you accept the offer a week later. Congrats on the offer!
