I am supposed to get an official L6 program manager iii offer tomorrow and wondering what to aim or negotiate for. The recruiter mentioned he is trying to get a total comp of $215k for me with about $150k base. This seems kinda low. What should I aim for? And how to go about negotiating?
@Broadway74 : whats your current role at Deloitte? Mind sharing, this could help me with the transition too
Manager at Deloitte currently
Consulting service line?
Would $250k be out of range? That is what I feel most comfortable with
250 is stretching it. My colleague got an L7 offer for 310. It’s a product manager role.
Is Program Manager iii same as Sr. program manager in L6 or are there different bands?
Same role
That’s way to high for a program manager. How many RSU’s?
Pgm not PM....
The TC is in the range for the job/role you interviewed for.
Sounds high for non-Technical...
Not sure how it could be high. I have 10 years of exp, 2 masters, manage a team currently, and work at an elite firm. I make almost what they offering but in lower cost living area. I feel like it’s barely market rate. But then again there are many ppl who don’t work at the top firms or companies and think amazon pays great.
You should have aimed for a product manager role. They get paid better.
I agree to your point... they should consider both experience and education!

Seems high for a Program Manager role
I thought $250-$300k was more realistic. Are program manager roles just really low level? I would be managing a team
The level is not low. But the role is a program manager non technical. The recruiters target is on par for that level. You may want to verify if you are leading a program that has participating team members. Generally, PMs at Amazon do not manage people but program.
