Chatted with a couple teams after I passed a split loop. SDE2, 1 AWS, 1 non AWS. One said as long as I get my work done, PTO is very flexible if I want to go beyond the official limit. (ie worked late, weekends some days, take more than limit) Is this realistic? Do most people take the full amount, less, more?
I always see people take the full amount and sometimes even more but obviously you won't get paid for more time off so you're losing money. In s way it's like paying 500 or so for a day of vacation plus normal vacation costs
Thanks. I think the implication was taking more than official if the team felt you earned it, without going unpaid.
