I cant find a simple answer for this. Does Photos run duplicate finding in the background and move duplicates to Trash? I see large number of photos appearing in Trash once in a while and I was wondering. Too bad a consumer service like this doesn't have such info easily available.

Biden’s new tax proposal is wild
Apparently it doesn’t do that. So if photos are showing up in Trash wo the user deleting, it is probably the Photos in the Trash of Drive or there is a “big” Combining Drive and Photos, wo sufficient user docs/FAQs is really bad for an consumer service. It is definitely not Intuitive! And there is confusion of Sync and Backup! Too many features being bundled wo thinking well - brute force catch up to competitors!! @Amazon
