I'm thinking about asking my boss for a raise. How would you prepare to have that discussion? What should you bring to the table to prepare? Metrics? What justifications can you use? I've been exceeding my metrics and leading the team. Sometimes doubling and tripling my goals. Getting a lot of recognition from the higher ups. Thoughts or anecdotes?
Bring to the table offers from Google and Facebook. No other metrics will be needed.
People got it right
The main question I'd answer: why do I deserve a raise? Your answer should include: 1: Your accomplishments, above what's expected 2: Average pay for your role 3: Average pay for people performing at your level. This should make it an easier discussion. Hope it helps
Point is how to collect this data ? Don't show what glass door or pysaa shows as there is no authenticity to that data.
Can you prove that data is not authentic? I know of more than one company that uses Glassdoor or paysa's data. Collect it and if you're told that it is not good then show how you've gone beyond what you were required to do. You do that by comparing your job requirement/description to your accomplishments. Hope it helps.
Thanks everyone for the feedback. Glad that there is an option and not any termination or fear of for bringing it up lol. I have he metrics to prove it and so does my team/manager/client recommendations
Also how much do you think Amazon can give in terms of raises?
Any number or average increase?
