Amazon has about 85k job openings and the scale at which they operate is magnificent. How does a typical day as a recruiter there look like? Are they always doomed with (over)work?
Horribly overworked with high turnover.
85k job opening??
Yeah, across the globe
I get an email from a new amazon recruiter every other month asking me to start the interview process
I am busy playing video games and taking naps
Some days I work like 4 hours and others I'll work 14. Depends on what my demand is and what events I need to attend. Recruiting is a meat grinder. If you throw enough bodies at a problem someone is bound to get hired.
You mean spamming inboxes everyday and repeatedly without any shame after people scream at you to stop doing that shit
Apparently they get put on pip if they don't reach hiring goals. I imagine it is a tough job having to recruit on behalf of a company that doesn't exactly have a great reputation for being a pleasant workplace.
I just started working at MS and they just reached out to me. And I recently interviewed with them and already rejected them
Their work is stupidly emailing everyone they have in database. Even when you say you are not interested, the next recruiter will reach out to you.
Haha you're lucky to have been getting their attention though. A lot of folks would want to be in your place right now
Really, noo...I get every f**ing day. If you want I can DM some of the recruiters email ids.
