Amazon Relocation Payback
I searched and searched and still have no clue. Let's say I get 2600 cash option and rest assistance with moving. Would I have to pay back the part with assistance, it's not going to be too much since I don't have too much to move. It's kinda seems ridiculous even the thought that I would need to. It's like, hey we'll help you with moving no problem, but here is final bill that you can only know if you leave. Over 2 years that amount will be completely negligible, so what would be the point of it? I can't get definite answer anywhere.
No one forced you at gunpoint to accept the relocation benefits. You are responsible for not clarifying this before you moved. You're not a kid anymore. This whole "i didn't know" shit doesn't work.

If you search lots of people had issue with this. I am not talking about accepting money, I'm taking about assisting with the move. Like flight ticket, temp housing, etc. so if they put me in let's say 10k/month appartment I'll have to pay for it if I leave early because of them?
I don't understand why are you thinking of leaving even before joining ? If you are soo unsure, just don't join?
Wtf just be grateful that they even offer to pay. Lesser companies don't pay anything and expect you to figure it out yourself

It's not a pay cut though. It's basically a bonus that's prorated into the future? Like their bonus structure is very similar if not the same as the relocation structure. You get the money up front and then have to earn it
You pay back prorated and need to find out how much you own on the assist package from relo team.
