Hey guys, I have an Amazon Chime video interview coming up and had some questions. I wasn't sure what to focus on when getting prepared. How important are the Amazon Leadership principles? Will I be asked behavioral questions and if I will what should I expect? What topics if any should I focus on when leetcoding?
I did the video interview with amazon (for an internship role) a few weeks ago. It was one coding question (harder than I expected; probably on the harder side of medium) and a couple standard behavioral questions (I don’t remember them, but I think they generally focused on showing initiative / taking ownership / caring about customers etc). I didn’t think I did that great but I got an offer, and I’ve heard similar stories from a lot of people. They also seem to ask a lot of questions on trees.
Do you remember what type of question they asked you? Was it trees?

They’ve lowered the bar for new grad roles, so I guess the same applies for the internship, especially if it’s only one round of video interviews. You’ll get asked to explain your second coding question from the OA and maybe a couple behavioral questions that are based on the LPs so have stories that cover all of them.
So I won't be asked any new question but rather to explain my solution to the 2nd OA?
That’s what the experience has been for most new grads lately. If they scheduled you for more than one video interview you’ll probably get asked new questions but if it’s only one that seems to be the case. Definitely keep studying just in case this doesn’t happen for you.
