I have seen similar post for Google, thought I will share some insight into Amazon compensation for SDE in Seattle. Amazon offer structure Base, Stock(5% 1st year, 15% 2nd year, 40% 3rd year and 40% 4th year) and joining bonus for first 2years (to cover your delayed stockvest). These are target ranges, not stock vests(which is inflating current tc) Tc ranges - 1%ile , 25%ile ,50 %ile , 75%ile and 99%ile Sde-1 (L4) - 105k, 115k, 130k, 145k, 170k. Sde-2 (L5) - 155k, 168k, 185k, 215k, 245k Sde-3(Sr) (L6) - 230k, 250k, 280k, 320k, 355k Principal Sde(l7) - 330k , 350k, 390k, 440k, 530k. (Updated after couple of comments and DMs) Sr. Principal (l8) and Distinguished Engineer not many data points I am currently Sde3 - target TC 275k. Hope this helps.
Stock vest is 5,15,40,40, not 5,5,45,45 ... also L7 SDE numbers look off.

Seems to be in target. But again the sample size for PE is still limited. You are righ though top %iles >75 could be higher.
Do you know if the same ranges apply for Solutions Architect type roles?
Only from L6 and above Specialist SA... L4 and L5 SA generally makes 20-30% less
