Hey there I am an Australian, who got invited for an AWS SDM interview for Seattle. Upfront I am requested to advise expected TC. Dont even know if its level 5 or level 6. Ang suggestions what range I should be considering..

Could just say you expect the market rate for someone with 13 years of experience with leading engineering teams. I said something similar and got top of band after negotiating up. Good luck with the interview btw. Google Dan Croitor's LP/behavioral tutorials if you haven't already

How did your screening call go and other interviews ? I have one coming soon.
L5 - ask $300k. Get $260ish L6 - ask $400k. Get $360ish These can obviously get higher but just avg from what I’ve seen with external hires
You can go decently higher than 360 at L6, seen some high numbers thrown about depending on job family
I agree. I’m just saying on avg. I seen someone in 440k range with great exp in AI/ML
