Amazon Salary Structure

I'm closing in on the final interview phase with Amazon for a non-technical Project Manager role in Nashville, TN, and I'm trying to wrap my head around their salary structure so I can negotiate appropriately if an offer is extended. I have 7-8 years of PjM experience, 2-3 of which are IT-specific (2017-2020). From what I understand, this puts me in the L5 category? I think? Can anyone provide insight and/or give me a ballpark of what I should expect from Amazon should they extend an offer? My current company woefully underpays their PjMs, so my personal experience is pretty skewed. TIA! #amazon #projectmanagement #project #salary #salarycomparison #salarynegotiation

7-8 could be L5 or L6. Structure will be Base, RSU’s, and Sign-On. This is just a guess, but I’d say an L5 can expect 100k Base, 60k stock, 20k sign-on

Good to know. When I initially sent in details regarding expected compensation (they required it in the pre-interview screening) I said I'd need to know more about the role but offered $90k as an expected base to start the conversation. Did I fuck myself over? Lol

No. If you just told them a base number and they come back and offer you a 90k base but low sign on and rsus then you should say “I expected more RSU’s and sign-on which is why I only needed 90k base.” Btw, 90k base isn’t out of the question for this role...

TN is considered a discount market so the TC range is lower than the rest of the company locations (NYC and SFO and the premium markets)

7 years of experience seems very high for a L5 position. Is it for a specialised function? For context, I joined as a grad at L4 and reached L6 in 3 years. I know everyone's path is different but I do not know many non tech folks with that experience that are L5. The concern is your interview loop may not have a bar raiser (look it up) to identify this and take action. Definitely worth raising the Q with your recruiter if the level matches your experience..

(For example, I do see L5 roles which are science, research, economics etc. The requirements are high, sometimes looking for PhD level. So, I'm sure they are compensated well but are low level. Doesn't sound like this is your case, though, TC.

Is this a thing? I've never heard of an Amazon interview loop with no BR.
