Amazon Seattle Intern Housing

Interning @ Amazon in Seattle this Summer and curious what housing options to choose to optimize meeting new people. I understand theres corporate housing and dorming at UW available. I’m wondering if it would make the most sense to take the dorming option to meet other people (i.e. summer class students not interning at amzn). TC: 🥜 #seattle #intern

I was put in a baller apartment. It’s way way way nicer than the dorms. You can impress all the 😺 or 🍆 your bring home.

But would you say it was easier to meet people where you lived?

You will meet people if you are social. The campus is kind of dead because of break.

Ton of other interns in the dorms FYI, and you get dining food for breakfast and dinner if I recall

You think dorming would be better in this case to meet non amazonians?

I subletted from a UW student for like 900/month for a small studio apartment in udistrict and pocketed a ton of the housing stipend. It took a bit of work to find people willing to let me sublet (I had never been to Seattle before and didn't know any UW students), but it worked out really well. Since I was in udistrict near a bunch of other interns, social things were not too difficult. Would recommend.

where'd you find your sublet at? im looking on craigslist for places in Georgia for the summer
