Hi all, how’s TC of Amazon vs Zillow vs Expedia vs eBay in Seattle/Bellevue for 2 YOE - SDE? I never got called from MS even with referral so I am not considering MS. What company would you work for? TC: 100k YOE: 1.8

Expedia targets the median comp for the market. The travel benefits are negligible. Good deals on cruises, but otherwise trivial. Once a year they reimburse a couple hundred bucks. Less than a decent hotel night
How about technology stack? Do you learn a lot? WLB is good?
I think benefits are generally pretty good (though travel benefit -ie free travel- are not that material, at least not till you have 7 years tenure). In terms of some actual discounts, they are there in certain situations if you jump thru hoops
500 in travel reimbursement isn't pennies. There are some. Decent travel benefits. Hotel ones are great. The company doesn't own a airline or operate hotels to give employees free travel. You get a salary for that
What company you ended selling your soul?
Expedia recruiter asked for my rough range and ghosted me after that. Happy to trade that for me getting me better travel prices.

The pay is terrible...they probably won’t be able to match anything you’re expecting. The projects are team based so there is no ownership. Coming from Amazon that’s always difficult. Discounts are not that great. You’ll do better with your points on your credit card.
